Overview
The finishing process is critical to the quality and performance of car sticker raw materials. After base film pretreatment, adhesive coating, precision slitting and standardized packaging serve as three core procedures, determining the viscosity, reusability, stability and application effect of PVC and TPU car wraps. This article simplifies the full production workflow to help global clients recognize premium car sticker materials.
Step 1: Precision Adhesive Coating
Coating is the key process that provides car stickers with adhesive properties. Qualified PVC/TPU base film is firstly corona-treated to strengthen surface adhesion and avoid delamination. We adopt fully automatic roller coating technology to achieve even and full glue coverage on the film surface.
The coating thickness is strictly controlled at 20-30μm to balance flexibility and adhesion. After constant-temperature drying, the adhesive layer is fully cured to prevent bubbles, warping and residual glue. Finally, the film is laminated with release liner and rolled up for curing.
Step 2: Accurate Roll Slitting
After 3-5 hours of constant-temperature curing to stabilize adhesive structure, the raw material rolls enter the precision slitting process. This step cuts large master rolls into standard or custom widths to meet diverse market and construction demands.
Equipped with intelligent deviation correction system, CNC automatic slitting machines ensure precise and offset-free cutting. It supports standard sizes (0.914/1.07/1.27/1.52m) and customized widths. All finished rolls are fully inspected to guarantee flat edges, uniform width and tight winding.
Step 3: Standardized Finished Product Packaging
Before packaging, qualified slitted materials undergo strict dust removal and surface inspection. All packaging procedures are completed in a dust-free and constant-temperature workshop to avoid quality damage from moisture and dust.
Each roll is tightly wrapped with stretch film to prevent loosening. With thickened paper tubes and shockproof carton packaging, the products are well protected from extrusion and moisture during long-distance transportation and storage. Clear labels with model, size, production date and parameters are attached for easy identification and inventory management. Finished products are stored in a constant temperature and humidity warehouse before delivery.
Process Summary
Coating, slitting and packaging are indispensable processes for high-quality car sticker raw materials. Precise coating ensures stable adhesive performance, precision slitting delivers consistent dimensions for easy application, and standardized packaging protects products during global logistics and long-term storage. These standardized procedures guarantee weather resistance, residue-free removal and long service life of our car stickers.
