TPU headlight film shields headlights from stone damage, scratches and UV-induced yellowing. Complete the installation in 4 main stages:
- Preparation & Positioning
Cut the headlight film to size with margin reserved for edge wrapping. Remove the backing paper. Spray low-foam soapy water on both the film and headlight, then place the film onto the lamp and fix one side. - Shaping & Smoothing
Rinse off soapy water using clean water. Gently stretch the film to match the headlight’s curve. Pull and flatten the top and bottom areas repeatedly, then use a squeegee to squeeze out trapped water and bubbles. - Trimming
Wipe off residual water with a towel. Cut away excess film, leaving a small edge for wrapping. - Heating & Edge Finishing
Heat the entire film evenly with a heat gun. Blow the film edges inward to reinforce wrapping, then press firmly with the squeegee.
Tips: Keep the heat gun moving constantly to prevent TPU overheating. Leave enough time for curing after installation.
